Inspired by my love of literature as a young child, I produced a limited amount of A3 hand drawn and hand cut pieces including The Secret Garden, Alice in Wonderland and The Grimm Bros. Fairy tales
My love of all things geometric, spirographs and bees helped me produce this collection of hives and abstract pieces.
The abstract pieces were showcased at The Royal Exchange Craft Shop's Geometric Exhibition.
In August 2015, I set myself an almost unachievable goal to make 1000 paper cut cranes for the Manchester Museum. With a mixture of hand cut and machine cut, all the little bundles are now on display along with other Manchester Craft Mafia Members in The Study of the museum. To find out more about why I was doing it, and the journey I took to complete it, please read my blog (which will be available online soon).
A large proportion of my work consists of producing artwork for others, in particular First Wedding Anniversary gifts.
Each piece is designed especially for the person ordering, making no two the same. I work closely with the client to produce a design which they were looking for (even if they don't know what they want yet).
I then go on to hand cut the pieces before framing and delivering.
If you would be interesting in commissioning your own piece, please do not hesitate to contact me
From wedding cards to birthday card, each design is made using a computer before being cut out using a machine. Each card is then assembled by hand before being placed in a cello-bag ready for sale.
